Born in Genoa on 9 September 1977, Alessandra graduated cum laude in 2001, from the Faculty of Law at the University of Genoa.
In April 2008 she obtained a PhD in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure.
Her research has focussed on issues of corporate criminal law and criminal tax law. She has spoken at many conferences and has published, in addition to numerous articles, a monograph on “The use of criminal law to repress VAT fraud”.
Alongside her studies in economic criminal law she has built a solid professional career in the field and is a member of the Bar, qualified to represent clients before the Supreme Court.
Since 2011 she has been a member of the Editorial Committee of “Diritto e Pratica Internazionale” (a tax law review founded by Victor Uckmar); since 2014 she has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Young Lawyers Association (AIGA) – Genoa Section; since 2016 she has been in charge of meetings providing “Nuggets of Information on Criminal Law and Procedure", organized by AIGA and accredited by the Genoa Bar; since 2018 she has been Regional Coordinator of the Liguria Section of the Criminal Tax Law Association (Centro di Diritto Penale Tributario).
